Kathy Wakefield

Kathy Wakefield began her songwriting career at Motown Records, working with Diana Ross, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Supremes and most of the artists at Motown.

Her songs have been recorded by many others, including James Ingram and Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Roberta Flack, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, The Jacksons, Bananarama, Johnny Mathis and Oleta Adams.

She has worked often in film and television with composers which include Michel Colombier, Patrick Leonard, Patrick Williams, Vangelis and Gabriel Yared.

Kathy has worked on projects with artists in many countries including France, Greece, Italy and Canada and the United Kingdom. She has written a novel and published many short stories.

Kathy lives both in Los Angeles and London, and keeps a retreat in the San Juan Islands.
