Hornall Brothers have just signed Tom Urie and Matthew McVarish, writers of the musical “Sweet Home Balmaha”, which is causing a huge stir north of the border with 500 people being turned away at the last stage performance. The boys are also in negotiation with the BBC about turning it into a series. “I went to see them perform at a ‘pie, pint and a play’ day in Glasgow and absolutely loved it” says Stuart Hornall, md of Hornall Brothers. These guys are incredibly talented and we are extremely proud to have them on our roster.”

The new Boyzone single “Love You Anyway” entered the charts the first week of October at number 5. It was co-written by Ronan Keating.

On Wednesday, 25th October Zoë Hornall was appointed a Director of the London based music publishing company after being with the family firm for 10 years since its inception. Stuart Hornall, MD of the company said, “I am extremely proud of Zoë and her achievements at Hornall Brothers and am delighted to announce this appointment.”

On Friday 4th March Hornall Brothers signed the band Cherubs for the world. Their current single "Club Hoola Hoop's Walls" is climbing the Music Week singles chart and their forthcoming album "Uncovered By Heartbeat" is being released on the 25th April on Cargo Records

We have been so busy since the move we haven't had time to update our "News", so here goes with an update since August of last year................

Mark Knopfler has recorded a new album which is expected to be released in September.

Chris de Burgh has a new hit album out entitled "The Road To Freedom". Chris wrote all the tracks himself and co-wrote "What You Mean To Me" with another of our writers Phil Palmer. The next single is going to be "Five Past Dreams".

Matt Morris co-wrote 5 songs on the incredibly successful million selling Christina Aguilera album "Stripped". He also co-wrote the single "Miss Independent" for American Pop Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

Chris Rea released a new hit album "The Blue Jukebox" in March 2004.

Alex Golding has co-written "(If You Wanna) Kiss and Tell" with Harriet Roberts/ Lulu/Billy Lawrie and features on Lulu's new hit album "Back On Track" released in March 2004. Graham Lyle also co-wrote "Roll The Dice" with Lulu and Billy Lawrie and features on the same album.

Andy Ellis co-wrote "Learn To Crawl" which features on the last Spiderman Soundtrack album.

Patrik Berger co-wrote "Little Voice" which features on the Hilary Duff album "Metamorphosis" which was in the charts earlier this year.

Bobby Valentino won his court case which gave him a share of "Young At Heart" by The Bluebells for his contribution of the very distinctive fiddle playing on the record.

David Galbraith and his wife Storm Gordon have been working in Canada and have brought out a new Storm Gordon dance album entitled "Someone to Dance With". Is doing very well apparently.

Richie Stevens has co-written various songs with Boy George for the "Taboo" musical.

James Stallard co-wrote "If You're Looking For Love" with Cerys Matthews and featured on Cerys' album "Cockahoop" which was released in the summer 2003.

John Rhino Edwards co-wrote various tracks which featured on the Status Quo album "Heavy Traffic".

Lew Laing co-wrote "The Other Guy" and "Feel This Way" for the hip hop band B2K which had huge success last year.

Julian Littman is currently the Musical Director for the hit West End show "Jailhouse Rock". He also co-wrote a couple of songs for the show

Luke Morley has along with Danny Bowes and Harry James (of Thunder fame) released their album Bowes & Morley "Moving Swiftly Along" and also co-wrote a couple of the tracks with Peter Shoulder and Tony Myers. We only represent Peter and Tony for these two titles.

Melissa Etheridge has recently released a new album entitled "Lucky" released in February this year.

Leroy James and Darren Michael (Nodding Dog Publishing) have had considerable success in Italy with a Giorgia recording of "Qualcosa Cambiera" ("The Treasure In Your Heart").

TJ Musicservice out of Germany has given us the band "Sometree" whose sole writer Bernd Bauerochse has entirely written their new album "Moleskine".

Sam Brown has once again contributed tracks to the most recent Jools Holland hit album "Jack O' The Green" - "I Told The Truth" and "Kiss Of Love".

We have signed publishing deals with Javon Jackson, The Supernaturals, Danny Tate, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds, David J. Miller, Delbert McClinton, Gregg Sutton, Kent Blazy, James Stallard, Billy Kirsch, Paul Overstreet, Simon Mulligan and Matt Morris.

In addition we now represent Blue Newton Echo Music, who represents Tim DeLaughter who wrote all the songs for the hugely successful Polyphonic Spree, we also made a deal to represent Edimusica/Sunflower Entertainment which represent many well known South American writers and artistes.
